Nesting (ish): Finding Bliss in the Simple Moments

Today unfolded without a set purpose or agenda (although I could have made one), allowing me to surrender to the flow of 'whateverness'. I moved between tasks, puttering from my bedroom to the living room to the kitchen. I tidied up, swapped out my summer clothes for fall/winter ones, cleaned, roasted butternut squash for soup, and baked pumpkin muffins. Amidst it all, I found solace curled up on the couch with a good book and a warm kitten.

The true joy emerged in the quiet moments of appreciation for the simple acts that nurtured and nourished me. Tidying up became blissful as I realized it was a form of self-care, creating a tranquil living space. Even in moments of melancholy longing for companionship, I found joy in gratitude for all that I have. Dining alone became a pleasure as I chose to be thankful for the nourishment before me. It didn't erase the desire for company; rather, it shifted my perspective. And therein lies the sweet peace I'm filled with tonight.

To all my dear ones, I wish you moments of quiet bliss and appreciation.
